God's love

I'd like to preface this post by saying that it was brought on by a video I watched, and has been posted with very little editing, so the flow is unorganized and a little chopped up.

FYI: The video I watched was The Lifehouse Everything Skit, and if you haven't seen it, you need to. If you're new to the gospel or if you have heard it so many times it has become little more than a spew of words that are occasionally thrown at you, the skit will change your life.

I think I know why we're here now. When our pastor said the goal was not speaking to others about God, or reading the bible more but God, I wasn't sure what that entailed. Now I know. It means that you love God so much because He loves you, and even if you've willingly been killing and murdering and raping for your whole life, he still wants you back to fix you and make you again the perfect being that he created and loves. And no matter how long you run, he still will chase after you, because even if you say you don't want anything to do with him, he still wants you to reside in perfect happiness with him, and even if you say you hate him, he still wants the best for you, and that means being with him and seeing everything through his eyes because he is perfect and nothing troubles him because he has a perfect plan that he has complete faith in.

And once you grasp this marvelous love if only for the briefest glimpse, you realize that you want anyone you care about to see this marvelous love and let it shape the way they see life, and the way they go through the world, because that is absolutely the best possible way to go through life.

And you also want to tell them because you know that God is looking at them and crying for the things they are doing to themselves and that are happening to them, and that he just wants to make them the same perfect thing he created. And you want to be part of those plans because you see how perfect he is, and how magnificent his plan for the world is, and you want everything to do with that plan, and with him.
